The first 9 weeks are officially behind us, and we are so proud of our students for all the growth they’ve made so far this year.
After student interventions on Friday, 10/4, our office will be open by appointment only starting Monday.

Dear Linden Families,
We wanted to give you a quick update on Cougar Swag. With the incredible amount of orders this year — and making sure every single student receives a shirt — we have a lot more to process than usual.
We’re still working hard to get everything completed, but items are still a little ways out. Thank you so much for your patience! Our goal is to have swag ready and distributed around Halloween. 🎃
In the meantime, we hope you enjoy a wonderful and restful fall break! 🍂

As you all know, we’ve been getting a lot of much-needed rain lately. With that comes some very muddy areas on our playground. While we do our best to keep students out of the mud, sometimes accidents happen.
Please place an extra change of clothes in your student’s backpack—just in case.
If your student has borrowed clothing from the health office, we kindly ask that you wash and return the items to Mrs. Holyoak so they’re available for other students in need.
Additionally, if you happen to have extra bottoms at home, we are always grateful for donations. Items such as leggings, basketball shorts, and sweatpants are especially helpful.
Thank you for your support and for helping us keep our students comfortable and cared for!

This week’s spotlight shines on our amazing librarian, Mrs. Miki Lewis! 🌟 Mrs. Lewis is known for having the biggest heart, for stepping in to help with recess, for making library time fun and engaging, and for all of her hard work and dedication over the many years she’s been here. She is truly a treasure in our school! 💛
In recognition of all she does, Mrs. Lewis will keep the coveted apple 🍏 for the week and can pick a prize from Mrs. Holyoak’s office.

This week we’re celebrating Anita, our wonderful SPED Paraprofessional! 💛 Anita is known for her gift in helping students calm down when they’re flustered, for being flexible and willing to go wherever she’s needed, and for being brave enough to take on indoor recess (a true hero move!). On top of it all, she’s an all-around fun person who brings joy to our school every day.
To honor her, Anita gets to proudly display the coveted apple 🍏 for the week and will also get to pick out a prize from Mrs. Holyoak’s office as a token of appreciation.
Way to go, Anita—you make a difference every single day, and we’re so lucky to have you on our team! 👏✨
🌱🐛 Our kindergarteners had a blast learning about living and non-living things this week! They even got hands-on with real worms and gummy worms to explore the differences. Such a fun and wiggly way to learn! 🪱🍬
✨ Our kindergarten students had a super special guest reader today — our very own superintendent! 📚 The kids loved the storytime and we are so grateful for the visit. 💛

Students will be off campus for approximately an hour and a half.
If you would prefer that your student does not attend this field trip, please email Mrs. Holyoak at desirae.holyoak@showlow.education
. Students who do not attend will stay at school and participate in an alternate activity.
